WEN is seeking NEVADA WOMEN who are in female bands, are:
MUSICIANS, SINGER/SONG WRITER, SPOKEN WORD ARTIST, POETS and COMEDIANS 
for Their
3rd annual Support Women Artists Now

(SWAN) Day 2009 on Saturday, March 27, 2010.

Performance slots are very limited! For women performers only:


1. Artist(s)/performer(s) must live within the borders of Nevada.
2. Artist's/performer's work must not be in violation of copyright law.
3. Artist(s)/performer(s) must be 18 years of age or older.
4. Please send a demo/audition audio/video of your work to WEN. You may email a You Tube video, link to video on your 5. Web page, MySpace, Facebook or mp3 files as your submission. Email: swandaylv2010@gmail.com

Please join WEN for the third international SWAN Day on Saturday, March 27th, 2010. By focusing attention on the work of women artists, SWAN Day helps people imagine what the world might be like if women’s art and perspectives were fully integrated into all of our lives.

SWAN Day is being facilitated by The Fund for Women Artists (www.WomenArts.org) a non-profit arts service organization which is dedicated to helping women artists get the resources they need to do their creative work. It will be a day to raise visibility and raise funds for women artists – a powerful new way to put the spotlight on women’s cultural contributions during the final weekend of Women’s History Month

The air is light, the spirit festive and the drinks cold in Downtown, where, once a month the pedestrian-friendly streets transform into a huge Block Party during FIRST FRIDAY. Each celebration, the Entertainment shifts and multiplies as ice Sculptors, Fire Breathers and Fortune Tellers serve as a back-drop for this ongoing festival of art perusal and appreciation. Local bands perform throughout the evening, and the streets turn into Canvasses for Children (Young and Old)
